Eti Bakır Becomes a Mining Analysis Hub in Central Asia

The accurate and reliable analytical capabilities of Eti Bakır Tereksay, Eti Bakır’s investment in Kyrgyzstan, have been officially validated. Accredited by the Kyrgyz Central Accreditation Authority following its successful analytical performance, the Eti Bakır Tereksay Chemical-Analytical Laboratory can now conduct analyses for different companies internationally.

The Chemical-Analytical Laboratory of the Eti Bakır Tereksay Operations, which produces gold in Kyrgyzstan, has been certified as compliant with ISO 17025:2017 (GOST ISO/IEC 17025:2017), a standard recognized as one of the key indicators of quality and reliability in international laboratory practices. Accredited by the Kyrgyz Central Accreditation Authority, the laboratory can now also analyze mining samples submitted by companies from around the world.

RELIABILITY OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED

Engin Hacıislamoğlu, Director of the Eti Bakır Tereksay Chemical-Analytical Laboratory, emphasized the importance of accredited laboratory status in ensuring that analyses are accurate, reproducible and reliable.

Noting that both Turkish and Kyrgyz members of the laboratory team bring their expertise to their analytical work in close collaboration, Hacıislamoğlu said:

“Thanks to our deep historical and cultural ties, we have added another achievement to our track record in Kyrgyzstan, a friendly and brotherly country. With the accreditation we have received, our analyses of gold (Au), silver (Ag), carbon (C) and sulfur (S) in ore and concentrate samples will gain international validity.

“This accreditation officially confirms the high level of expertise of our laboratory team, the accuracy of our analyses and the technological maturity of our laboratory processes. We will continue investing in the development of our laboratory and analytical infrastructure in the coming period.”

Hacıislamoğlu also noted that accreditation requires the laboratory to maintain a robust quality management system, adding that this will enable them to continuously raise their quality standards across all processes.

A total of 44 people work at the laboratory operated by Eti Bakır Tereksay. With Turkish and Kyrgyz employees, the laboratory conducts more than 500 analyses per day. Following its accreditation, it has become a regional hub for mining analysis in Central Asia. With its strong technological infrastructure and analytical methods, the laboratory minimizes the margin of error and ensures a high level of reliability in the data it produces.
